Why your Lovable conversion data is wrong

The Facebook Pixel alone misses a large share of your conversions. On Lovable, the official fix is Google Tag Manager. That is exactly the complexity most Lovable founders built their app with AI to avoid.

Blocked

iOS blocks browser pixels

Apple’s App Tracking Transparency stops the Pixel from firing for a large share of iPhone traffic, so those conversions never reach Meta.

Filtered

Ad blockers drop events silently

Extensions like uBlock filter pixel calls without any warning. Your form fills happen, but Ads Manager never sees them.

Wasted spend

Missing data means worse ROAS

Meta optimises delivery based on the conversions it can see. Feed it incomplete data and it targets the wrong people with your budget.

The fix is the Conversions API, which sends events from a server instead of the browser. PixelFlow sets it up on Lovable without GTM or code.

SETUP IN MINUTES

From Lovable to the Conversions API in 3 steps

Quick setup

Point & click tracking

1

Set up the PixelFlow Lovable integration

Paste one prompt into Lovable and it adds the PixelFlow snippet for you, then connect your site. No GTM container to build.

2

Tag the events that matter

Point and click on any button, link, or form on your live site. Form submits, signups, and purchases become tracked events instantly.

3

Send clean data to Meta

PixelFlow fires each event through both the Pixel and the Conversions API, deduplicated automatically, so Ads Manager sees every conversion once.

Track any conversion in your Lovable app

Every event fires as a proper Meta standard event (Lead, Purchase, InitiateCheckout and more) so your campaigns can optimise on it.

THE PAYOFF

Better match quality, better ad results

Better match quality, better ad results

Event Match Quality is Meta’s score for how well your conversion data identifies real people. Higher scores mean Meta can attribute more of your conversions and optimise delivery with better signals.

Browser-only pixels on Lovable typically score in the 4 to 6 range. With PixelFlow sending enriched server-side events, sites regularly reach 8 or higher.

Lovable tracking questions, answered

Lovable tracking questions, answered

Do I need Google Tag Manager?

No. PixelFlow replaces the entire GTM setup. You set up the PixelFlow Lovable integration, tag your events visually, and PixelFlow handles the Pixel and the Conversions API for you.

Do I need a developer or any code?

No. You ask Lovable to add one small snippet once, and everything after that is point and click. If you can click a button on your own website, you can set up PixelFlow.

Does it work with checkouts and purchases?

Yes. PixelFlow tracks checkout and purchase events from Stripe and your own checkout flow with order values included, so Meta can optimise for revenue and report accurate ROAS.

Will it slow down my Lovable app?

No. PixelFlow loads a single lightweight script. The heavy lifting happens server-side, away from your visitors’ browsers.

What Meta events can I send?

All standard events, including Lead, Purchase, InitiateCheckout, AddToCart, CompleteRegistration, and ViewContent, plus custom events for anything specific to your funnel.

How is this different from just using the Facebook Pixel?

The Pixel runs in the browser, where iOS privacy settings and ad blockers stop a large share of events from ever reaching Meta. PixelFlow sends the same events server-side through the Conversions API as well, deduplicated automatically, so Meta sees conversions the Pixel alone would miss.

I already fire the Facebook Pixel in my Lovable app. Do I need to remove it?

Yes, we recommend removing your existing pixel code so events are not double counted. PixelFlow fires the Pixel and the Conversions API together with automatic deduplication, so Meta still receives every browser and server event exactly once.

Does tracking work across A/B test variants?

Yes. Tags apply to your page, not to a single variant, so events keep firing as you create, edit, and traffic-split A/B tests. Every conversion is attributed to the right landing page in Ads Manager, whichever variant the visitor saw.

Can I track multiple sites or environments?

Yes. Every plan includes unlimited events and pixels, and the Agency plan is built for managing tracking across client portals. Each client gets their own pixel and event setup, all managed from one PixelFlow dashboard.

Is it GDPR compliant?

Yes. PixelFlow supports consent-aware tracking so events respect your site’s cookie banner, and personal data is hashed before it is sent to Meta.

What happens after the free trial?

You pick a plan or you stop, no card is required up front and nothing is charged automatically. Your event configuration is saved if you decide to come back.

What is the Conversions API?

The Conversions API (often shortened to CAPI) is Meta’s server-side tracking method. Instead of relying on a script running in your visitor’s browser, conversion events are sent directly from a server to Meta. Think of the Pixel as a postcard your visitor’s browser mails to Facebook. Anything along the way can stop it: privacy settings, ad blockers, a closed tab. The Conversions API is a courier that delivers the same message directly. Nothing in the browser can intercept it. Meta recommends running both together. The Pixel captures what it can, the Conversions API fills the gaps, and deduplication makes sure no conversion is counted twice.

Why does the Facebook Pixel miss conversions on Lovable?

This is not a Lovable problem. It affects every website, but three forces have steadily weakened browser-based tracking. iOS privacy changes: since Apple introduced App Tracking Transparency, a large share of iPhone users opt out of tracking, so the Pixel fires with degraded data or not at all. Ad blockers: extensions like uBlock Origin block Pixel requests silently, and that can be 20 to 40 percent of desktop traffic. Browser restrictions: Safari’s Intelligent Tracking Prevention caps Pixel cookies at 7 days, so a customer who clicks your ad on Monday and buys the following week is invisible to your attribution. The result: Ads Manager underreports your conversions, and Meta’s delivery system optimises on incomplete data.

What are your options on Lovable?

Lovable does not include a native Conversions API integration. Until recently, you had two paths. The first is Google Tag Manager with a server-side container. It works, but it means building a dataLayer, configuring a server container, paying for its hosting, and maintaining it. The second is custom code: writing JavaScript and running your own server to relay events to Meta. PixelFlow is the third path. It installs with a single small snippet that Lovable can add for you, lets you tag events by clicking elements on your live site, and runs the server-side infrastructure for you. No Google Tag Manager, no code, and setup takes minutes rather than days.

How does event deduplication work?

When the Pixel and the Conversions API both report the same purchase, Meta needs to know it is one conversion, not two. Deduplication solves this: each event carries a shared event ID, and Meta keeps one copy. Done manually in GTM, this is one of the most common places setups go wrong. Duplicate events inflate your results and corrupt optimisation. PixelFlow generates and matches event IDs automatically, so every conversion is counted exactly once.

What is Event Match Quality and why does it matter?

Event Match Quality (EMQ) is Meta’s score, from 1 to 10, for how well your conversion events identify real people. Higher scores mean Meta can attribute more conversions to your ads and target more accurately. Browser-only Pixel setups on Lovable typically score between 4 and 6. Server-side events can carry richer, properly hashed customer information, which is why sites using the Conversions API regularly reach 8 or higher. In practice, a higher EMQ means more reported conversions, better-informed optimisation, and more efficient spend from the same budget.

How do I get started?

You can have the Conversions API running on your Lovable app today. Ask Lovable to add the PixelFlow snippet, connect your Meta Pixel, and tag your first event by clicking it. The free trial requires no credit card, and most sites see their first server-side events in Ads Manager within minutes.
