Blocking rules
Decide exactly when an event should not fire
Free trial. No card, no tag manager.
Rules for each event, or for all of them
Attach rules to a single event like Purchase, or apply them across the site. Each rule is a switch: block if it already fired this session, block without a Facebook click ID, block on the same URL or referrer, or block repeats within a number of seconds.

Block if already fired this session
Block without a Facebook click ID
Block repeats within 30 minutes
Block if same referrer
No repeat conversions
A refresh of the thank-you page should not be a second purchase. Same-session and interval rules make sure it is not.
Only paid traffic
Block events without a click ID when you only want Meta to learn from visitors who arrived through an ad.
Ignore external tracking
Stop events triggered by other tools on the page from being forwarded, so PixelFlow only sends what you configured.

Applied before the event leaves
Rules are evaluated on PixelFlow’s side before anything is sent to Meta, for both the browser pixel and the Conversions API. A blocked event never reaches your pixel, so there is nothing to clean up afterwards.
FAQ
Everything you need to know about blocking rules.
Where do I set blocking rules?
In the site settings in your PixelFlow dashboard, per event or globally.
What does block without a click ID mean?
The event is only sent when the visitor’s session carries a Facebook click ID (fbclid), meaning they arrived through a Meta ad.
Can I block by time?
Yes. Set an interval and the same event will not fire again for that visitor within it.
Do rules apply to Stripe and Calendly events?
Rules apply to events generated on your site. Server-side integration events are deduplicated separately.
Is there a default rule?
Some platforms get a default Purchase rule on site creation to prevent double counting on confirmation pages.
Will a rule delete data?
No. It stops the event being sent. Nothing already recorded is removed.
